How to understand/get started on the tech mods?

How do people start on the tech mod for ATM10? I've only ever used SF4 tech mods and this is sum new to me. I've never used anything other than that (AE2) and I've recently seen that they added the create mod so. Where do I start and what can I do with these mods?

Also, I'm new to this modpack series so idk how to start getting op shi early on, or any good tips are appreciated.
